Hiring a van in Knutsford usually means driving to a depot elsewhere, since the town has few places to collect one. For many customers, the sensible choice is van hire in Warrington. The run north is short and direct. It is also far easier than fighting through Manchester or Chester traffic.
Why Our Depot Suits Cheshire Customers
Knutsford sits between the M6 and M56, with the A50 running north through High Legh toward Warrington. So, our Tilley Street depot is a comfortable morning drive away. As an independent depot, we also know the vans and the roads you will drive.
The Drive to Tilley Street
Most customers come up the A50, which avoids motorway junctions. Alternatively, from the east of town, the M6 and M56 can be quicker when the A50 is busy. Check GOV.UK traffic information before you set off. Customers from Lymm van hire areas follow the same road.
Our depot sits beside Asda at Cockhedge, with free secure parking for your car.
Choosing a Van for Older Streets
Central Knutsford has narrow streets lined with parked cars. Therefore, a short wheelbase van is often the better choice there. On wider roads and newer estates, however, a long wheelbase high roof van becomes worth having.
Country Lanes and Farm Tracks
Lanes toward Tabley and Plumley often have low branches and gravel drives. So, think about height as well as length. For fencing, timber and sleepers, a flatbed dropside van is often ideal. Our guide to hiring a van from Frodsham covers similar jobs.
Planning Your Day When Hiring a Van in Knutsford
We open Monday to Saturday from 8am to 4pm. Since you travel each way, build the drive into your plan. For bigger jobs, a longer hire often beats rushing. In addition, booking two weeks ahead earns an advance discount on selected vans via our van hire special offers page.
What to Bring
Bring your photocard licence and a DVLA check code. Our guide on how to get your DVLA check code explains how. Most vans need no deposit.
