IKEA Warrington draws shoppers from right across the region to its store at Gemini Retail Park, just off the M62. The catch is always the same. Long, heavy flat-pack boxes rarely fit in a car boot. Hiring a van solves that in one trip, and our depot is only a short hop from the store. So, picking up van hire in Warrington before your shopping run is simple.
Your IKEA Warrington Survival Guide
The range is both the draw and the trap. It is easy to leave with far more than you planned. A wardrobe or flat-pack sofa will not go in most cars. Therefore, sorting transport before you set off takes the stress out of the day.
Match the Van to Your Shopping List
For a few small items, a short wheelbase low roof van is quick to park at the collection point. For wardrobes and long boards, a long wheelbase high roof van makes a real difference. Meanwhile, a full kitchen or houseful of furniture suits the extra long wheelbase van.
Every van stays within 3.5 tonnes, so your car licence covers the drive home.
Make a List and Read the Map
Browse the website first and note what you want. That way, you head straight to the right aisles, and you know the box sizes in advance. Also, take a photo of the store map so you spend the visit collecting rather than wandering.
The floor arrows are optional, too. If you know what you need, you can cut across and save time.
Sort the Van Before the Shop
We open Monday to Saturday from 8am to 4pm and close on Sundays. So, collect your van early for a relaxed run at the store. Most vans need no deposit, and you will need your licence and DVLA check code. Before you go, check GOV.UK traffic information for delays on the M62.
Our guide on how to choose the right van size is also a handy starting point.
