A bank holiday move gives you the extra day that makes a big job manageable, which is why the August weekend is one of the busiest of the year. Hiring a van instead of a removal firm keeps you on your own schedule. With van hire in Warrington, success comes down to timing, van size and careful loading. This guide covers all three.
Why Timing Matters
Our depot opens Monday to Saturday from 8am to 4pm and closes on Sundays. So, plan collection and return around the days we are open. Because the long weekend is so busy, the fleet books up faster than usual. You can check the date on the official GOV.UK bank holidays page.
Book Your Bank Holiday Move Early
Booking a fortnight ahead secures the van you want. In addition, it earns an advance discount on selected vans, shown on our van hire special offers page. It also gives you time to talk the job through before the rush.
Choosing the Right Size
Think about volume rather than weight, since furniture takes more room than expected. For a one or two-bedroom move, a long wheelbase high roof van usually does it in one load. Our guide on how to choose the right van size helps if you are unsure.
Loading Safely
Put the heaviest items in first, low and against the bulkhead. Next, keep the weight centred. Then use straps to stop anything sliding. Our post on moving furniture safely with a van covers protection in more detail.
Serving the Surrounding Towns
A move starting in Widnes van hire or Lymm van hire areas is just as simple. Most vans need no deposit, and there is secure parking for your car.
